Behind the Song mit Dario von Vlad In Tears
Die Geschichte hinter dem Song:
Kris und ich haben diesen Song geschrieben basierend auf etwas, das mir einmal passiert ist.
Einmal nach einem Konzert war ich in einem Hotelzimmer und eine Freundin kam um mich zu treffen. Sie war total cool und aufgeregt nach dem Konzert. Wir haben angefangen zu trinken und zu rauchen und zu tanzen. Es war wirklich heiß dort und als sie beinahe ganz nackt war, begann ich ihr wahres Selbst zu sehen. Hinter dieser Coolness war Traurigkeit das Einzige, das ich sehen konnte und ich begann darüber nachzudenken während ich sie ansah. Nach ein paar Stunden in denen sie vorgab glücklich zu sein, schlief sie auf meinem Bett ein und ich saß am Tisch und sah sie an und begann Bruchstücke von dem zu schreiben, was später zu “Broken Bones” werden sollte.
Dieser Text handelt davon wie verletzlich wir sind. Wie wir vorgeben cool zu sein und Menschen auf Abstand halten. Und wie wir alle am Ende der Nacht dann doch unseren Dämonen begegnen und wir fühlen, was wirklich in jedem von uns ist.

Me and Kris, we wrote this song based on what happened to me once.
Once after a concert I was in the room in a hotel and a friend of mine came to see me. She was super cool and excited after the concert and we started to drink and smoke and dance. Once she got almost naked, it was really hot there, and then suddenly I started to see the real her. Behind that coolness the only thing I saw, it was sadness and I started to think, looking at her. After a couple of hours “pretending to be happy”, she fell asleep on my bed and I was sitting at the table, staring, and I started to write pieces of what became “Broken Bones”.
Actually it is about how fragile we are….How cool we pretend to be, trying to avoid that people come too close to us, but at the end of the night we face our demons and we have to feel what is really inside of each of us.
