Seit 1980 dreimal gegründet, zweimal aufgelöst, diverse Wechsel in der Besetzung und jetzt 2023 erstmalig auf Wacken-Bühnen, Vixen zieht Neugierige an: Bei ihrem Auftritt wimmeln Kameras auf der Bühne im Blickfeld der Graben-Fotografen. Die Linse liebt die Ladies, die Lauscher den Sound zwischen Glam und Hard Rock mit Songs wie „Rev It Up“, „Cruisin’2“ oder das Desert-Roadmovie „Streets in Paradise“. Wobei die überwiegend weibliche (Ausnahme des Keyboarders) USA-Combo so manche Metalband in Sachen Performance weit hinter sich lässt und unseren Daumen für dieses Highlight am sonnigen Donnerstagnachmittag hoch stellt. Das abgetrocknete Infield vor der Harder zeigt sich zudem tanztauglich.
